Vegetarian chickpea and spinach curry served in a Bakehouse brioche roll, with a simple Asian salsa, coriander and yoghurt dressing, and date and tamarind sauce. The term ‘bunny chow’ describes a fast, portable food (usually curry, presented in a bread bowl), which originated in South Africa, and started centuries ago, when the first Indian immigrants arrived in SA.
