The pizza "A ruota di carro" was eaten’ in ancient times in the popular districts of Naples. It owes its name to its shape, just like the wheel of a cart. Infact, it is very large and thin but at the same time soft and tasty. It is a unique specialty and only thanks to the art of some master pizzaiuoli, handed down over time, can it still be enjoyed today. The first description of this extra-wide pizza shows up as far back as the late 1500s.

The only rule? The dough better extend over the border of your plate! But don't be fooled: just like every other traditional Neapolitan pizza, each pizza is for one person.
